Crouching on the left knee, on a trefoil cockle shell. Bronze, brown patina. Later wooden plinth. Height 11.5 cm. Cf., particularly regarding posture, with the bronze figure of Atlas, formerly at the Kaiser Friedrich Museum Berlin (reproduced in: Die italienischen Bronzen. Königliche Museen zu Berlin vol. II.
