Six Continental Sterling Silver and Silver-Gilt Objets de Vertu, Mid-Nineteenth to Early Twentieth Century. Comprising a Dutch box, 1850, alternating reeded and herringbone bands, engraved initials and dated "K.W.S./ 1850" beneath, maker's mark "H:4," date, standard and duty marks; a German cylindrical box, Karl Kurz, Hanau-Kesselstadt, 1877-1911, repousse with a flower basket on the cover, the sides with panels of fruiting vines and flower vases, pseudo hallmarks beneath; an Italian miniature circular box, repousse with a family on the cover, the sides with flowerheads, marked "MADE IN ITALY" and "STERLING SILVER;" an Italian circular box, Fratelli Coppini, repousse on the cover with a pair of putti, marked "FALI COPPINI," factory mark and "800," and "MADE IN ITALY;" a rectangular box, repousse on the cover with a king and attendants on horseback, mark "LS & CIE" with a cat or leopard head into an oval, guarantee and import marks; and a heart-shaped box, repousse on the cover with a tiger in a landscape and around the sides with an antelope, tigers, lions and a hut, apparently unmarked.6.39 troy oz. totalFrench rectangular box: H: 2 in., W: 3 in., D: 0.5 in.
