Small Dipped Fan Slip-decorated Pearlware Teapot, John Shorthose, act. 1795-1823, Hanley, Staffordshire, the straight-sided body with brown, rust, and white slip fan decoration against a field of ochre slip, with conforming lid, the base with impressed maker's mark "SHORTHOSE," gooseneck spout, and applied strap handle with foliate terminals, ht. 4 1/4 in.
