Small Sampler "Dear Friend," probably England, 1838, worked in silk threads on a fine linen ground, with vining border surrounding rows of flowers, trees, birds, and baskets and urns of fruit and flowers, all above the lettering "Dear Friend Remember Me 1838," in a giltwood frame, overall 9 1/2 x 8 1/4 in.
