Small ovoid bud vase
A small ovoid shape bud vase, the body with girdle detail and applied Aztec style motifs below cylindrical neck, and raised upon a domed foot. Unmarked, tests as silver. Height 10.5cm, weight 2.61ozt (81.3g).
Condition Report:
- Appears in fairly good overall condition
- Displaying some general surface wear, marks, scratches and tarnishing
- Some minor surface nicks/dints, including around rims
- Surface wear and rubbing to the applied motifs causing some loss of detail or definition
- Heavier dirt/tarnishing to interior
- Tests around 93% Ag (tested on one side and underneath)
- Fellows uses a Thermo Scientific Nitron Handheld XRF Analyser to test metals. This technology is limited to examining metal to a depth of approximately 8 microns
