FIRST EDITION, folio (595 x 443mm.), dedication leaf, 18 hand-coloured plates after James Sowerby, contemporary boards sewn without spine, some spotting, some wear to binding

This rare work was issued in three parts without title-page. The dedication by Smith to the Marchioness of Rockingham is followed by a leaf of preface and text to each plate in Latin and English.
