.38 Special. 4" barrel length. SN: 644085. Blued metal finish with casehardened small parts and mounting walnut Smith & Wesson medallion diamond checkered grips. Double action hand ejector six-shot revolver with topstrap notch and forged half-circle front blade sights. Serial numbers match on the cylinder, barrel, star extractor, and on the inside of the right grip panel. Further markings include Smith & Wesson monogram trade mark to the left frame and MADE IN U.S.A. to the right. Assembly number to the inner frame and crane reads 46632. Barrel flanks show standard make and caliber markings while the top of the barrel is marked SMITH & WESSON SPRINGFIELD MASS. U.S.A./PATENTED FEB. 6. 06. SEPT. 14. 09. DEC. 29. 14. Hammer is struck REG. U.S. PAT. OFF. on the back of the hammer.

Condition
Very Good. Bore is Very Bright with sharp rifling throughout. Metal finish shows some light abrasions to the flanks of the muzzle, along with some flaking of the finish along the edges of the gripstraps. Scattered light flecks on the frame. Some further abrasions along the cylinder, along with mars to the forward edges of the triggerguard. Casehardening is strong. Grips show some light handling wear with some chips on the edge of the right grip panel. Action shows good timing.
