**Smith & Wesson Pre-Model 24 (.44 Hand Ejector - Fourth Model - 1950 Target)

.44 Special. 4" barrel length. SN: S118262. Blued metal finish with casehardened hammer and trigger mounting adjustable target rear notch and pinned front ramp sights, and smooth walnut Smith & Wesson medallion grips. Double action hand ejector revolver with six-shot cylinder featuring a five screw frame and pinned barrel. The Smith & Wesson trademark is struck into the left frame with the four-line address to the right. SMITH & WESSON is struck into the left barrel. Item is not model marked, and shows a matching serial number on the butt, inside the barrel lug, on the inside of the star extractor, and on the rear cylinder.

Condition
Very Good. Bore is Minty with sharp rifling. Blued metal finish shows a light turn ring, along with some light discolored specks forming on the seam of the right recoil shield and the underlug. Few light scratches. Grips have two spots of light mars on the rear gripstrap near the butt, and at mid length on the forward strap. Action displays good timing, but some sluggishness due to old lubricants.
