**Smith & Wesson Steel Frame Model 39 in Box

9mm Para. 4" barrel length. SN: 60186. Blued metal finish with black anodized backstrap mounting Smith & Wesson medallion walnut grips. Short recoil operated DA/SA autoloading pistol fed by detachable single stack magazines. Standard make and model markings including the MODEL 39 mark below the serial number. Comes in its original blue cardboard box with three magazines, the owner's manual with inserts, and an aluminum cleaning rod with copper bore brush in plastic package. Item falls within the known range of the first steel frame guns to ship. Though the first Model 39 pistols sold had alloy frames, the steel frames were produced first, but were not completed and sent off for sale until 1966.

Condition
Excellent. Bore is Very Bright with some residues that should clean to Minty with sharp rifling. Blued finish shows faint cycling scratches and a slight ring over the breech face. Few scattered light scratches and a spot of brown patina forming on the bottom right edge of the frame Grips retain sharp checkering and fine details to the medallions. All items in box in Very Good to Excellent condition.
