Snuff Bottle - Mother of Pearl - Magu 麻姑 - China - Qing Dynasty (1644-1911)
A very nicely carved 18th/19th century mother of pearl snuffbottle with a depiction of Magu 麻姑 carrying a flower basket . The stopper made of red stone encased in Dutch gold mounting with golden chain. This is probably done in the 19th century to convert it to a perfume bottle. A small inlaid red stone seal mark on the reverse could indicate the once was a poem inscribed on the backside.

Condition:
In overall good condition, with a chip off the rim and the cork stopper broken off. No spoon.
