Beautiful snuff mortar/container of the Chokwe people from Angola. The female figure is sitting on a chair, holding a breatst with her right hand and holding a cup in the other hand. Earrings and ankle-decoration made of metal. Glossy patina caused by use. Rare piece of art. The last photo comes from the piece in the Brooklyn Museum and looks almost the same. Ex collection David Malik - UK. Now in my private Dutch collection.
