This beautiful antique statue was made and signed by the famous French sculpturist Emmanuel Villanis (Lille 1858 - Paris 1914) .

Busts by Villanis come in different qualities and those with a foundry stamp from Société des Bronzes de Paris are considered the highest class.

The condition of this beautiful statue is very good with only minor signs of age.

It is signed on the pedestal but difficult to read due to the patina. It dates from the late 19th century and is 41 cm high x 21 x 17 cm wide and deep.
