Profusely illustrated throughout both volumes. 474 pp. plus 444 pp. Gilt top-edge. Cloth covers with leather spine. Rubbed, bumped and spines chipping. Joints cracked. Volume I, tape repair to inside front hinge. Back hinge cracked. Front endsheet torn partially at gutter. Illustration after page 370 torn and partial may be missing. Volume II, cracked hinges. Browning and spotting to both volumes. Set measures approximately 17 in. x 12 in. x 3 in. Provenance: Amity Art Foundation, Inc. collection.
