Out of the frame the sheet is Arches paper with a partial watermark, and measures 21 5/8 x 19 in. In the left side of the image - visible in the blue ink - there were a series of irregular creases that do not seem to break the surface of the ink, but do effect the ink's sheen. These have been flattened. Perhaps to mitigate these creases, the reverse has been covered and affixed to a shiny mounting tissue. Two of the edges have been reinforced with a 1/4 inch extra of mounting tissue still on the verso. There is also some soiling to the verso.
