probably Indonesian, Java area, depicting a hindu figure or deity with elaborate crown and headdress, mounted to metal and painted wood stand, head 7-3/4 in., overall 12-1/2 x 4 x 4 in.

Note: According to the consignor notes, the head was possibly from a temple constructed in the 9th century.
