Southern Backcountry Walnut & Red Cedar Slab Table
Circa 1860, Piedmont, South Carolina. The piece has a thick one board walnut top resting on four red cedar legs which are securely mortised through the top. The legs flare naturally. Nice old surface. H32" W72" D20" Sold from the collection of a Sumter Gentleman. The piece was discovered in the Sumter district of South Carolina many years ago by the current owner's grandfather.
