Southern Federal Inlaid Cherry Chest of Drawers
Circa 1815, likely Virginia or Maryland. Very interestingly crafted example having square block corners at the top leading into the case. The edge of the top is nicely banded and leads down to lowercase having four slightly graduated drawers all with handsome banding and the case rests atop four nice tall tapered legs. The secondary wood looks to be entirely poplar. H39 1/8" W40 1/4" D20 1/2" Sold from the collection of a Charlotte, NC family.
