Southern Federal Inlaid Mahogany Sideboard

Circa 1810, likely North Carolina or Virginia. The piece having a fine well grained top consisted of three boards atop lower case having one lone drawer flanked by two large deep drawers at left and right all above two hinged doors at the center. The board has a handsome two piece bell flower inlay at the knees and fine dainty banding at the drawers and legs. The secondary wood is tulip poplar and possibly some white pine as well. Some restoration to surface and small veneer work. Legs are all original and the piece is good and sturdy. H37" W60" W23 3/4" Sold from the collection of a Charleston, South Carolina lady and gentleman.
