Cherry and Butternut Circa 1800, likely Upcountry South Carolina. The piece has a thin original one board top with rounded edge above four slightly graduated drawers each with satinwood inlaid escutcheons all resting atop a very elegant thin French foot. Yellow pine secondary wood throughout. H41" W37 3/8" D19 1/2" Sold from the collection of an early Greenville family the piece has descended in their family for at least a century.
