Southeast Virginia or Northeast North Carolina, third quarter of the 18th century, shaped crest with notched ears, vasiform backsplat with four vertical piercings, shaped arms and arm supports, upholstered hinged seat above a later commode, shaped deep skirts to all four sides, front cabriole legs with spade feet, downswept rear legs.
