[ translate ]

This is a vintage, highly attractive, display of Native American artifacts. The 20" X 26" blue cloth, has an obsidian(black volcanic glass) core, surrounded by a ring of small projectile points, 5/8" long and 1/2" wide. These small chipped points are often called "Bird Points". They are really arrowheads. The larger points others call arrowheads, are really designed to be used as atlatl dart points, hafted knives, and spear points. A large projectile point would be too heavy to launch from a bow. There are 123 points in this display. The second ring has dark stone points, The third ring has 28 Pueblo, maybe even Mimbres, polychrome pottery Sherds. There are two more rows of these wonderful small arrowheads, knapped of flint, chert, and obsidian. Each corner has obsidian points, space for 4 in the upper corners, and 3 on each lower corner. Three of these are missing, with only the glue remaining. Please take a look at this display. These are the real thing, perfectly displayed.
