Beautiful late Renaissance painting - artist from the area of the Spanish painter Luis de Morales - El Divino (1502-1586) . Touching and moving scene of Mary softly crying while holding her son's dead body. Inspected by an expert: Lamp of wood shows a few re-painted spots. The faces and much of Jesus' body are completely authentic. Original panel - one unit. In very good condition, recently restored and framed. Dimensions excluding frame: 27. 5 x 41 cm.
