Medal awarded to soldiers of the Legion

Burst plate with eight faceted points, made of silver with a leaden and oxidized tone, about six centimeters in diameter.
Superimposed on it is a cross formed by four spearheads, with a scaly surface, of bright or yellow gold, with an open silver crown on the upper arm, and below it a smooth silver rectangle to engrave the date of concession, two lions of silver faced on the side arms, and a castle of the same on the lower arm; The cross is surrounded by a laurel wreath with four swords between the arms, which together simulate their points in the center of the cross, all made of matte gold. Above the center of the cross a circle with the quartered shield of Castilla y León in its colors and enamels, loaded with an azure shield with an open gold pomegranate, and surrounded by a blue border with the motto AL MÉRITO EN CAMPAÑA, in gold letters
By order of January 15, 1940, personnel in possession of the Croix de Guerre are authorized to wear, on their commonly used pins, as a badge, a ribbon three centimeters wide, divided into three equal parts: the central , with the national colors, and those on the sides, white, with a crimson stripe, one millimeter long. Likewise, the use of as many ribbons equal to the one expressed as there are War Crosses is authorized.
The repetition of each of these Crosses, when the decoration itself is displayed, will be represented by metal rectangles identical to the one carried by it, superimposed on the other arms of the Cross, and in which the date of the action will be inscribed, or that of the concession, when it is granted for a set of campaign services.
