Round sculpture carved in wood and polychrome, representing the Virgin Mary with Baby Jesus. There is a certain iconographic relationship with the advocation of the Immaculate Conception, as the figure rests her feet on the orb (held in turn by seraphim), although the characteristic elements of this advocation are absent, such as the serpent and the crescent moon. The carving has been worked with naturalistic intention, seeking to capture the right qualities of the draped fabrics and printing tenderness in the faces. The polychromy disregards the traditional symbolism of the clothing (white of purity, blue of eternity) and opts for the simulation of fine floral brocades.
