8" x 13". Spanish and English language document concerning a league of land in Liberty County, Republic of Texas. Dated August 13, 1835. Signed by George Antonio Nixon, Land Commissioner for the Galveston Bay and Texas Land Company, which sold land grants to Texan immigrants. Also secretary signed by a William Pressick, and Charles S. Horne(?). Includes General Land Office impressed seal and countersigned 1841. Likely a file copy. **Fair condition. Some imperfections and tears to corners and edges with some fragility from age and relatively low-quality paper. Creases along fold lines present with some detached sections. Nevertheless an important early Texas document.** $300 - $500
