Manufactured in 1979. Features a 24.5" blued round sightless tapered barrel. Barrel has 60% coverage featuring floral scroll engraving that extends 12.5" from receiver to end. Receiver has matching engraving with 80% coverage including scope mount and rings. Floorplate has 80% coverage with a gold embossed bighorn sheep. Two position safety with jeweled bolt and follower. Engraved trigger guard with gold plated trigger. Heavily marbled factory Weatherby 2X walnut Monte Carlo style stock with contrasting rosewood forend tip and pistol grip cap. Pistol grip features a diamond inlay. Deep relief factory carved stock featuring the Weatherby oak leaf and acorn pattern. Buttstock and both sides of the receiver feature an oval and diamond tri-wood inlay consisting of ebony, rosewood and birch. Bottom of stock features a similar inlay with gold engraved diamond and initials "L.D.P." Factory gold plate swing swivels and studs. Fitted with a Weatherby recoil pad. CALIBER: .300 WBY Mag. Condition Report: Overall this firearm retains 98%+ blue finish with faint handling marks. Cheek piece has a 3/8" nick that does not penetrate the finish. Good bore and mechanics.
