Wonderful Lumachella and royal yellow marble pair of gothic lions, used in the past as a church candlesticks. Entirely crafted and carved by hand out of a single piece of marble. The lion was not glued at the base but is an integral part of the structure. Particular for the type of marble, as the grain is extraordinary as well as the colour, because the lions were carved from a block of marble that was composed half of the Lumachella marble and half from the royal yellow marble. Item of beautiful, high artistic and historic value, of remarkable quality and workmanship. A quite unique item, especially considering its size which is not too big. They can be used as candlesticks or as decorative elements. Very valuable marble, with beautiful and elegant veins. Please note the accuracy and attention to details of the lion, carved with expertise and professionalism. A truly charming and masculine figure, it conveys fierceness and determination.
