Spherical amethyst geode, 1.16kg
Amethyst geode specimen of spherical form, very well polished on the exterior to a smooth finish, and revealing internal shallow cavity. The interior is entirely lined with densely packed, well-terminated amethyst crystals, of a light to very light violet-purple hues, fairly saturates, and lustre consistent with quartz crystals. The natural formation includes banding of agate, and crystal growth patterns throughout the polished surface, providing an aesthetic contrast.
Sphere measuring approximately 96.5mm in diameter, with a 69.0 by 47.0mm jagged cavity opening.
