Spherical amethyst geode, 856.00g
Amethyst geode specimen of spherical form, very well polished on the exterior to a smooth finish, and revealing internal cavity. The interior is entirely lined with densely packed, well-terminated amethyst crystals, of a violet-purple hue, well saturated, and with lustre consistent with quartz crystals. The natural formation includes thin banding of agate at the rim of the cavity, providing an aesthetic contrast.
Sphere measuring approximately 94.8mm in diameter, with a 91.0 by 48.4mm irregular cavity opening.
