Spittoon shaped vase- Porcelain - China - Republic period (1912-1949)

An excellent porcelain vase, standing 22. 2cm tall and weighing 1862g, finely hand painted with decor of peacock standing on a pierced rock, between a blossoming prunus tree and a peony bush, below three branches of stenciled roses. Decorated to the reverse with calligraphic poetry and dated Wu. Wu year, 1918. Marked to the underside with Yan Hong Fa Zhi 严鸿发制 hallmark or maker´s mark, stamped in iron red. Condition: Very good, no damages or repairs. Very minor wear commensurate with age. This lot will be carefully packaged and sent by registered and insured mail.
