Splendid silver pendant Foulet Khamsa. It is a Gharnati (meaning of Granada) Arab-Andalusian amulet worn throughout the High Atlas. This jewel is the protective hand against the evil eye. Its name Khamsa (five) refers to the five fingers of the hand. Very nice work on silver leaf in repoussé decorated with chasing. Each side is decorated with a central cabochon made of blue glass paste on one side and green on the other. Piece dated 1328 by stamping according to the Hegira calendar, 1910. Symbol of the fish (against the evil eye) and the ram (bringing good luck, the Baraka) on one side and on the other two birds, typical in the Jewish religion of the rest of the soul. This jewel alone represents the assimilation of symbols between cultures and living together.
