Spode Blue Transfer Standard Willow Pattern Root Dish, England, c. 1800-1810, earthenware printed in blue underglaze, comprised of a central oval-shaped, machine-turned butter container with cover fixed centrally into an extended upright-sided stand with tapered cut off ends, impressed maker's mark, ht. 4 1/2, lg. 12 1/2, wd. 5 1/2 in.
