The frieze is fitted with two drawers, adorned with intricate brass escutcheons and pulls. Condition Report:
The writing table is in good antique condition, commensurate with age and use. There are minor surface scratches and a few small indentations on the top and legs, consistent with routine handling. The brass mounts show some tarnish and minor discoloration, which is expected for their age. The adjustable book rest mechanism functions smoothly. The drawers operate correctly, and their construction appears sound. The JME stamp on the underside of the top is partially legible but clearly visible.
