German Silver Beaker with scenes from the life of Christ : Frankfurt, c. 1730 Georg Wilhelm Schedel (master 1722). Round, domed foot with six raised portrait medallions in ribbonwork cartouches, set off to the conical dome by a profiled band, the wall with three cartouches of acanthus leaf trocailles, within finely engraved religious depictions from the New Testament. Silver with gilding on the inside. On the bottom inspection mark and maker's mark ''GWS'' in a curved shield. Silber mit Innenvergoldung. Am Boden Beschauzeichen und Meistermarke "GWS" in geschweiftem Schild. H. 17,5 cm; 168 g.
