This original artwork, executed in acrylic on artboard, was used for the 1000 piece jigsaw puzzle licensed by Paramount Pictures and produced by F.X. Schmid. Included in this lot is the puzzle in its original box.

Paul Wenzel worked for Walt Disney for forty-two years as a designer and illustrator for the Motion Picture Advertising Department, working on many classic Disney films, including Mary Poppins. Wenzel painted the portrait that was used on the 6 cent stamp commemorating the life of Disney. During his great career with Disney he became Creative Director of Character Art, supervising over twenty-five artists. Later in his career Wenzel took on commissions for work from other studios.

Original artwork is exceptionally rare and highly prized by collectors.
