Statuette in beige steatite with red-brown veins representing a dignitary dressed in a robe decorated with a dragon. China, Qing period. On the back, in Chinese characters: Shangjun student (name of a Chinese sculptor from the Qing dynasty) , possibly apocryphal. Base in gilt brass from Europe circa 1930. One leg missing (right) , scratches on the statuette (on the left and back) due to friction contact with the base. Independent statuette and base but they can be screwed together using the designated hole. Weight: 1. 150 kg. Height: 21. 5 cm, statuette alone: 20. 2 cm. Base: 11 x 8 cm.
