Steiff Cat & Cast Iron Dog Bank
This lot features two circus-themed mechanical collectibles: a German-made plush musician and a painted cast-iron novelty bank. The first item is a seated plush cat figure depicted as a military drummer. The cat is constructed from gray mohair-style plush with green glass eyes and an embroidered pink nose and mouth. A steel wire hoop is held in the clown's hand, positioned between the dog and the barrel. The front of the base has raised lettering reading TRICK DOG flanked by four-pointed stars. The underside is a black perforated plate with a circular pattern of vent holes and contains a black plastic circular plug.
