Steinbeck Family Children's Book

Four page laminated book was given to John Ernest Steinbeck by his mother about 1867 and was to be given to John Steinbeck III (1902-1968) by his father. The book was then passed down from John Steinbeck III to John Ernest Steinbeck IV (1946-1991) in 1949 by his father. This childhood book is paired with Mary Elaine Anderson bronzed baby shoe. Elaine Anderson was John Steinbecks third wife. Bottom of shoe is inscribed "Mary Elaine Anderson 8-14-14" This also includes a color card of a clown and a horse that the Steinbecks kept.
