Circa 1928; serial # 257929, ebonized case, length - 5 foot., 7 in., with matching piano bench. From the family and descendents of Charles Potts Talbot (1807-1884) and Harriet Rogers Talbot, of Billerica and Lowell, Massachusetts. Talbot was the founder of C.P. Talbot and Company and, with his brother Thomas, co-founder of the Talbot Mills in North Billerica. Thomas Talbot would later serve as the 31st Governor of Massachusetts.
