Designed as a bird in flight, the body set with polished coral, the wings set with carved jadeite enhanced with brilliant- and single-cut diamonds, the head embellished with similarly-cut diamonds and the tail of gold cheveux d'anges, signed Sterlé, numbered, French assay marks for gold and maker's mark.

Signed STERLE PARIS, numbered 7.863, maker's mark for Sterlé et Compagnie, located rue Sainte-Anne, Paris in 1934, then 43 avenue de l'Opéra in 1943. French assay mark and stamped or750 for 18 carat gold. Jadeite semi-translucent with typical clouds. Coral orange with banding, small chip to the reverse. Diamonds bright and lively. Scratches to the metal consistent with age and use. In good condition. Gross weight approximately 39 grams. Measuring approximately 80 x 80mm.
