United States, ca. early to mid-20th century CE. A collection of 4 sterling silver souvenir spoons with decorative handles and inscribed city and state on the bowl. The Oconomowoc Wisconsin and Eufaula Oklahoma spoons have Native American figures. The Childress Texas spoon has state emblems: lone star, longhorn steer, and "TEXAS" on the neck. The Beaumont Texas spoon has a USA eagle emblem, airplane, and "VICTORY" on the neck - commemorative of WWII. Beaumont was known as a war time "boomtown" due to the number of workers flocking there for the defense industry and shipbuilding yard. All four have silver hallmarks stamped on the verso of the neck. Size of largest: 5.75" L x 1.25" W (14.6 cm x 3.2 cm); silver quality: 93.1% to 94.5%; total combined weight: 61.1 grams
