DESCRIPTION: Steuben gold Aurene vase. Decorated with iridescent applied handles and green swirl tailings. Iridized lead glass. Marked "Aurene 758". Shape # 758.

"Green Threads of glass are applied, then pulled with a hook into the desired pattern and then marvered in. The threading used in this type of decoration is very thin. This creates a lovely, but subtle decoration. This was an early form of decoration which gave way to the flashier styles that are more commonly found today."
