Steven Alan Kaufman (born December 29, 1960 in Bronx, New York City, New York; † February 12, 2010 in Vail, Colorado) was an American graphic designer, artist, filmmaker and representative of American Pop Art.

Kaufman attended the School of Visual Arts in New York from 1978 to 1981. After completing his studies, he had his first joint exhibition with Keith Haring in 1982. During his studies he met Andy Warhol, who became his artistic role model, for whom he worked as an assistant and with whom he was friendly.
