Condition Report:
The canvas has an old wax relining and is planar and stable. The varnish is slightly uneven and there is a craqueleure pattern which is mostly noticeable under raking light. The paint surface has remained well-preserved, with thick areas of impasto visible particularly in the highlights. Ultraviolet light reveals an uneven varnish and a handful of scattered restorations, mostly in the lower quarter of the painting. Offered in a wood frame with gold detailing.
