Stone Age Scandinavian Thick-Butted Axehead

Neolithic, 3rd-2nd millennium BC. A compact flint polished axe with asymmetric convex cutting and squared edges slightly tapering to squared butt; in a dark lightly mottled flint with small area of cortex. 238 grams, 10.8cm (4 1/4"). From the family collection of a South East London collector; formerly acquired in the late 1950s. [No Reserve]
