Title: Stoneware Tankard
Provenance: One of the better stoneware pieces of this type that we have handled is this handsome 19th c. example. Circular and vertical incised lines and a monogram that appears to be 'SR' provide a nice decoration while the slightly crooked handle gives the tankard a bit of whimsey. Great condition with only a minor chip on the lip and one on the side of the handle. 6" tall by 4 1/4" round by 6" width at the handle. It has a reddish brown color.
