Asante People, Ghana: Stool. Carved wood, made in the Asante classical form, with honey brown patina. The stools concave rectangular seat is supported by a rectangular base, surmounted by a central open-work column, flanked by four rectangular legs with half-diamond enhancements along the outer edges. Mid 20th century.
