Strongbox - Iron (wrought) - First half 19th century

This antique safe has a wooden frame covered with iron, with iron studs and bands. Chiselled iron front part with hidden key plate. The item was made in Piedmont in the first half of the 19th century. The safe has a lock with two bolts and a secret locking mechanism.
