American. 1850s. Leather, wood. Saddlery and Military Cap Establishment. The box retains the maker label of John B. Baker, 12 Court Street, Boston. Baker was a saddler and maker of leather goods and moved to this address in 1837. Marked, "Chas Heath", under lock. Stamped, "Approved Trunk Lock T. Williams", on lock. 6.5" x 10" x 7".
