Studebaker - Champion - 1951

[ translate ]

Studebaker Champion 1951. The closest thing to a rocket ship you could buy in the fifties! This fantastic American is designed by the famous Designer Raymond Loewy. He was responsible for several well-known 50s designs such as: Coca Cola, Airforce one, Lucky Strike, Shell etc. This was one of the lightest and most fuel-efficient cars in the 50s, they won the Mobil Gas economy run. This is the car for you if you like the 50s, a moving jukebox! The pictures speak for themselves, this Studebaker was imported into the Netherlands from dry Texas in 2000 and restored 13 years ago. It is an older restoration but everything works as it should and it drives and shifts fine! The Studebaker has a Dutch registration and is exempt from Dutch periodic vehicle inspection because of its age. Engine: The engine is a straight 6 2. 8 litre with 80 hp and 60 kw. It was also overhauled and starts and runs fine! Automatic transmission, it shifts quietly and is in original condition. Exterior: The Studebaker was fully repainted 13 years ago. Except for the odd spot, it still looks good. The car has good whitewall tyres with sufficient profile, it brakes well. The bottom is in original condition and has no holes, just some surface rust. Interior: The dashboard is in nice, original condition with lots of chrome and knobs. It has a factory radio and a spare one. The seats and doors were reupholstered at the time. The Studebaker is sold with additional loose parts such as a rare aluminium Fulton Sunviser. Extra radio with old stock radio lamps. Water pump and additional voltage regulator. Original instruction booklet and workshop manual included. It is advisable to view the car before placing a bid, this to prevent disappointment afterwards. If you’d like to make an appointment, please contact Catawiki. This vehicle can be viewed and picked up in Nieuwleusen, the Netherlands.
